Helical-Worm Geared Reducer
SC Helical-Worm Geared Reducer
Helical Input Stage + Worm Output Stage · Compact, Self-Locking Reducer
The SC helical-worm geared reducer combines a hardened helical gear first stage with a worm gear output stage, achieving a higher reduction ratio in a more compact housing than a pure worm reducer, while keeping the self-locking output that worm drives are known for. Available in frame sizes 77, 87 and 97 (plus combination frames), the SC series is supplied with B5 or B14 flange input, solid or hollow output shaft, and an optional shrink disk for direct mounting onto driven equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the SC helical-worm geared reducer
How is SC different from your NMRW worm reducer?+
NMRW is a single-stage pure worm reducer. SC adds a helical gear pre-stage before the worm stage, which lets it reach a higher overall ratio in a similar-sized housing, while still keeping the self-locking behavior of the worm output. SC is generally used for larger frame sizes (77–97) than NMRW.
Is the SC reducer self-locking like a pure worm reducer?+
Yes, under normal operating loads the worm output stage still provides self-locking, holding position without a separate brake. For very high back-driving loads, tell us your application and we'll confirm suitability.
What mounting options are available?+
SC accepts a B5 or B14 motor input flange, and the output can be a solid shaft or a hollow shaft with shrink-disk clamping for direct, coupling-free mounting onto your equipment shaft.
Is OEM/custom specification available?+
Yes. We support custom shaft configuration, terminal box orientation and branding with flexible MOQ. Contact us via WhatsApp for OEM pricing and exact dimensional drawings for your frame size.
