Right-Angle Planetary Gearbox
MFB/MFBR Right-Angle Planetary Gearbox — Frame 060–220
Right-Angle Output · Output Torque 40 – 2000 Nm · Backlash ≤1 – 9 arcmin
The MFB/MFBR series is a right-angle precision planetary gearbox, using an internal bevel gear stage to turn the output 90° from the motor input — ideal where a compact right-angle layout saves installation space. MFB is the standard configuration; MFBR extends the reduction ratio range further for extra-low output speed needs. Available across 6 frame sizes (060–220mm) with rated output torque from 40Nm to 2000Nm and backlash grades down to ≤1 arcmin. Like the MB/MBR series, it uses maintenance-free synthetic grease lubrication and an IP65-rated housing for continuous-duty industrial and automation use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the MFB/MFBR right-angle planetary gearbox
Why choose a right-angle gearbox instead of an inline one?+
A right-angle (90°) gearbox lets the motor sit perpendicular to the output shaft, which is useful when axial space along the output direction is limited — for example in compact robot joints or equipment with tight side clearance. If space isn't a constraint, our inline MB/MBR series is generally a more economical choice.
What is the difference between MFB and MFBR?+
MFB is the standard configuration with reduction ratios up to 10:1 (single stage) or 100:1 (double stage). MFBR extends this range up to 20:1 (single stage) or 200:1 (double stage) for applications needing extra-low output speed. Tell us your required ratio and we'll recommend the right one.
Can this gearbox be mounted directly to my servo motor?+
Yes. The MFB/MFBR series is designed with a standard input flange to mount directly onto common servo motor frame sizes. Tell us your servo motor brand and model (or its flange/shaft dimensions) and we will confirm compatibility or recommend an adapter.
Is OEM/custom specification available?+
Yes. We support custom input adapters, output shaft configuration, backlash grade and branding with flexible MOQ. Contact us via WhatsApp for OEM pricing and exact dimensional drawings for your frame size.
